Inspiration In our lives we go through phases of renewal and transience, similar to the recurring cycle of the seasons. Nothing remains as it is and only change is constant - the tetraptych " Seasons " should remind us of this. The shiki (四季), four seasons, are much more than just weather periods in Japan. Each season has its own individual character and is celebrated accordingly. During the cherry blossom festival, renewal is celebrated but the transience and finiteness of this beauty in autumn is already remembered.
